Survivor Adversity
RULES
RULES
General: Players will compete against each other to be within the final 3 participants in the game. A jury of the previous seven eliminated contestants will vote for the winner.
A typical ROUND of game play will go as following:
1)Players will have to make their “ROUND CHOICE”
2)Players will compete either individually or as part of their tribe in a Reward Challenge that will give them an advantage in the game.
3)If there is more than one tribes, there will be a competition for Tribal Immunity
4)There will ALWAYS be a competition for Individual Immunity. However in rounds where there is more than one tribe only the losing tribe will compete.
5)Players will attend a live Tribal Council where they will vote one member off their tribe.
6)Voted off Players will have to answer two questions before being sent to EXILE ISLAND where they may earn their redemption in the game.

[1] Tribal Area and Socializing
A Tribal Area can only be accessed by its tribe members. Tribe members may socialize in their Tribal Area as well as on AIM (which is required for the game), private messages on the board, and any other way they see fit.
The Tribal Areas are a short walk from each other so members from opposing tribes are allowed to communicate freely (just not in the Tribal Areas).
Transcripts of Tribal Councils will be re-posted in that tribe's Tribal Area as well as every Tribe member's Round Choice.
[2] ROUND CHOICE
Before the Reward Challenge in every round, every player must submit to the host (by Private Message) their “Round Choice”
The possibilities for the Round Choice will typically be:
1) Rest. Resting gives the player a -10% on their next individual immunity raw time. For example, if a player completed individual immunity in 100 minutes then their corrected time will be 90 minutes. Since only the losing tribe will compete in individual immunity it is possible for a player to gain multiple percent reductions this way before having to use them up. However an Individual's final time can never be below 40% of his or her raw time. All excess percent reductions at that point will be saved for the next Individual Immunity challenge.
2) Work Around the Camp. Working around the camp will contribute to the team a -5% on their next tribal immunity raw time. Example: A tribe completes a challenge in 100 minutes...the corrected time for the completion of the challenge will be 100- (5% times the # of players who chose to “Work Around Camp” where the number of players doesn't go over the number of tribe members actually competing in the challenge). Note: A tribe's final time can never be less than 40% of their raw time. However excess percent reductions will be saved for the next tribal immunity challenge.
3) Search for the Hidden Immunity Idol. In each Tribal Area there will be four locations to excavate for a Hidden Immunity Idol (four password protected boards). All four locations will have associated clues for proper excavation but only one of the boards in each Tribal Area will ever contain a Hidden Immunity idol.
When you choose to “Search for the Hidden Immunity Idol” as your Round Choice you must also submit:
I.Which of the four locations you would like the clue for
II.A whole number between 1-4 (which will be compared with the “Correct Number” randomly drawn before the Reward Challenge)
This simulates searching for the hidden immunity idol without a clue which can sometimes result in one finding the idol by chance (simulated in this game by handing out the clue by chance). The first time a player searches a location, the player must submit only one number between 1-4, giving them a 25% chance of getting the clue. The second time they choose THE SAME location for their round choice the player may choose two numbers, raising his or her chance to 50%. If a player searches in the same location for three rounds he will automatically obtain the clue for that location.
The “Correct Number” will be drawn no earlier than 30 minutes before the Reward Challenge and no later than 5 minutes before the challenge. The number will be determined in an AIM chat room using AIM's double dice application. All players logged on AIM at the time of the drawing will be invited to “supervise” the drawing of the Correct Number. The exact method for the “Correct Number” drawing is shown below:
There will be more on Hidden Immunity Idols including another way to obtain them in the next section.
4) Make a Fake Idol. You can choose to make a fake idol during your round choice which can be passed the same way a normal hidden immunity idols can be passed (explained in the next section).
You will PM to the host that you want to “Make a fake idol” but when the Round Choices are posted in your Tribal Area it will say that you “Searched for the hidden immunity idol.”
[3] Challenges and Immunity Items
There are three types of challenges each with their own prizes.
Reward Challenges
CHALLENGE: Reward Challenges are performed as a tribe in rounds where there are multiple tribes and competed in individually in rounds in which there is only one tribe.
PRIZE: Rewards will vary but will always be for the benefit of the winner(s). Typically they will involve % reductions on the tribe's or individual's immunity challenge time.
Tribal Immunity Challenges
CHALLENGE: The tribe will compete as a unit. In some challenges tribe members will have to complete different tasks as individuals for the tribe to win. Tribe members should agree on who will do each component. The first player in a tribe to send me a private message with how the tribe work will be divided will lock those roles in place. These challenges will only exist in rounds where there is more than one tribe.
PRIZE: Tribal Immunity Idol- the winning tribe will avoid Tribal Council in that round
Individual Immunity Challenges
CHALLENGE: In rounds where more than one tribe exists, only members of the losing tribe(s) will compete in this challenge. In rounds where only one tribe exists, the entire tribe will compete in this challenge.
PRIZE: Individual Immunity Necklace- the winner will receive the necklace (which the winner can keep or give away) which protect the wearer from votes at Tribal Council. The winner will receive the necklace at least 23 hours before the next Tribal Council. Additional Individual Immunity Necklaces may be given out for other rankings but those may be given out as late as during Tribal Council. The exact numbers of Individual Immunity Necklaces up for grabs will always be mentioned prior to the start of the challenge.
Hidden Immunity Idols
ABOUT: Hidden Immunity Idols are the only prize not obtained by challenges. To obtain a Hidden Immunity Idol, a player must dig it up in one of four locations in his or her Tribal Area. Each location has an accompanying clue for “proper excavation.” However only one location at a Tribal Area will ever a hidden immunity idol. If an area is excavated properly and no idol is present then the idol has either been claimed or has never been there at all.
WAYS OF OBTAINING CLUES: There are only two ways to obtain Hidden Immunity Idol Clues. A player must either chose to look for the Hidden Immunity Idol as part of their “Round Choice” (more in the previous section) or be given a clue by the choice of the Voted Off Player (more in the next section).
USE: A Hidden Immunity Idol is played after the votes are cast at Tribal Council but before they are read. For game purposes the total number of votes the player of this idol obtains is NULL (not zero). The Hidden Immunity Idol must be played by the person who is in POSSESSION of it. Possession may be passed to another player by the current possessor sending the host a Private Message presenting the idol and stating its intended recipient at any time during the round including Tribal Council. If the idol is sent by PM, the host will then send a PM to the recipient at his earliest convenience (or if at Tribal Council the host will say it live).
APPEARANCE: The hidden immunity idol will look something like this:

To play the hidden immunity idol the player must present the idol as it is. Any changes to the idol constitute it as a “fake idol” (which are passed as normal idols). If one is not allowed to pass a fake idol that round or already passed their fake idol then the invalid idol will be submitted to the recipient as a “poorly done fake idol.”
[4] Tribal Councils and Confessionals
Confessionals
Prior to any Tribal Council, whether or not one is attending the Tribal Council that round, every player must make a Confessional in their Confessional board. One is the absolute minimum. Many more are appreciated. Nothing you write in the Confessionals will ever be used against you in Tribal Council.
If you FAIL to post a Confessional prior to the start of Tribal Council you will lose your right to choose your vote and will automatically vote yourself out. Also your tribe will be told that they will receive +20% time penalty in the next Tribal Immunity Challenge if you are still a part of the tribe at that time.
If you don't post before a Tribal Council that you are not attending you will be able to regain your vote by making up the confessional the next round. However the +20% time penalty announcement will remain. If you miss Confessionals in multiple rounds before ending up in Tribal Council there will be a +20% penalty for EACH one of them.
Tribal Council
MEETING: Tribal Councils will always play out live on an AIM chat room (although can be missed with a good excuse, see below). As the host I will always bombard you with questions but never about components that could have only been gleamed from reading Confessionals (unless you volunteer the information yourself). Questions may either be of the open ended pre-written before the game type, direct questions about public game decisions, and direct follow-ups to any answers. In addition Tribal Council is a place for discussion, not just a place for the host to ask questions. Players are always welcome to make announcements and raise concern in Tribal Council.
INDIVIDUAL IMMUNITY NECKLACES: After the meeting portion of Tribal Council any Individual Immunity Necklaces that have not been given out are handed out. Then all the Individual Immunity Necklace winners will be asked whether they'd like to keep their necklaces or give them away to another player.
VOTING: After voting opens, players must send in their votes by personal AIM messages to the host (not vote in the Tribal Council Chat room). A vote can look something like this.

Nicknames may not be used in the place of the actual player name, but they can be added to the vote as well as anything else. Such as:

When the votes are read, the host will read out the full vote and not just the name of the person on the vote. Players are also allowed to whisper to production the reason for their votes as they are voting. This will be separated from vote content because an official vote is closed off by square brackets. Players are allowed to vote themselves out. THE WINDOW FOR VOTING IS ONE MINUTE FROM THE VOTING ANNOUNCEMENT. FAILURE TO VOTE WILL RESULT IN A SELF VOTE.
HIDDEN IMMUNITY IDOLS: After everyone has cast in their votes, players will be told that if they have a hidden immunity idol and they'd like to play it...right then would be the time to do so. The time window from the announcement to the deadline is three minutes (even if more than 3 minutes pass and the votes have not yet been read).
THE VOTES ARE READ: The person who receives the most votes will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately...but that is not the end of their game (more on that in the next section).
TIES: If there is a tie there will be a re-vote between the tied players. All but the tied players will re-vote. If there is still a tie after the re-vote players will draw rocks. The tied players as well as anyone immune by immunity necklace or hidden immunity idol will NOT have to roll the Survivor dice. Dice will be performed with the double dice application in AIM. Players will have to roll dice live at Tribal Council...whoever rolls the lowest will be the player voted off. Note: If you are not present at the live Tribal Council the host will roll the dice for you.
Missing Tribal Councils
If you absolutely have to miss a Tribal Council you can make it up.
First inform the host of your absence in advance. You will be asked a couple Tribal Council questions that will be shown in the live Tribal Council.
Secondly submit by PM a full and complete boot list. To be complete, a boot list must contain every person on the tribe with the only possible exception being the player making the list (though it can include that player as well). Like regular votes, boot list votes will be read as they are and as such the player may leave messages in them which will be read at the live Tribal Council.
Additionally an absent player may also submit whether or not they will be giving away immunity necklaces (if not included it is assumed they are not) as well as giving away or using a hidden immunity idol (the full immunity idol must be presented correctly in the message for the action to be valid).

[5] Voted Off and Exile Island
Upon being voted off the host will ask the voted off player privately two things.
(1)Their reactions to being voted off
(2)Which player left in their tribe they would like to receive a clue to a hidden immunity idol location (it will be up to the receiving player to choose the specific location clue).
Afterwords the player will be sent to Exile Island. The arriving player is the challenger who must challenge the current inhabitant of Exile Island for the right to live on Exile Island.
The Challenger may choose from one of four challenges:
1)A Trivia Challenge
2)A Puzzle Challenge
3)A Physical Challenge
4)An Endurance Challenge
Each of these challenges has a HARD and EASY version which the Challenger must also choose from.
The player who wins the challenge gets to stay on Exile Island, and the player who loses is eliminated from the game. The battle on Exile Island will continue round by round until the last person voted off challenges whoever remained on Exile Island. The winner of that challenge will return to the main game to join the two people left in the game in presenting his or her case before the jury.
[6] JURORS
At a certain point in the game, players eliminated from Exile Island will be placed in a camp for Jurors. At the end, the jurors will decide who amongst the final 3 players deserves the title "Sole Survivor."
Jurors will be allowed to watch the live Tribal Council but they will not be allowed to speak. They may however express themselves non-verbally via emoticons.
Beginning in the jury stage, players on Exile Island will be given written transcripts of Tribal Councils. Since a player may not leave Exile Island until the last phase of the game, Exile Islanders will not be invited to view Tribal Councils live.
When only three players remain, the FINAL TRIBAL COUNCIL will begin. In it, Jurors will each get to ask the finalists questions and make their comments. When this is completed, Jurors will cast their votes one last time, this time for the WINNER of Survivor Adversity.
[7] Quitting and Cheating
Quitting
Players are strongly discouraged from quitting or "being medically evacuated" in game terms. Quitting however is always the Player's option. If a player chooses to quit, the round will immediately end. Players who have chosen to quit will not be sent to Exile Island.
Cheating
Cheating, depending on its severity, can range in consequence from a % penalty in challenges to outright expulsion.
In this game, players helping other players outside of Exile Island IS NOT cheating. However eliminated players (or non-players) helping players in the game IS cheating. Any outside help for the people battling it out on Exile Island is cheating as well.
A player may NOT log onto another player's account for any reason whatsoever. Violation of this rule will result in expulsion for both violators.
